Background of the project 

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic well-being, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC works in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities, helping people survive, reclaim control of their future, and strengthen their communities. The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced per-sons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces.

Job Overview/Summary: The Finance Assistant will be a member of the Finance Department based in Bangkok under the supervision of the Senior Finance Officer. This position is responsible for ensuring that high quality financial management and support are provided to staff where appropriate.

 

Scope of work

  • Retrieve and filing audit document.
  • Scan donors document as requirement onward.
  • Managing the vendor receipt for filing.
  • Managing the filing system and sending it to Sub Sri Thai Company.
  • Re-checking Time effort for all staff by monthly.
  • Retrieving and printing documents for vat report.
  • Prepare to send withholding tax to all vendors.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by senior finance team members.

 

Deliverables:

  •  Day to day checking supporting document and ensure all the financial documents are properly filed and tagged per requirements.

Payment Rate and Schedule:

  •  IRC may withhold for taxes 3% as required by law and shall provide withholding certificates to the translator, accordingly. The consultant shall submit the timesheet at the end of each month. The payment will be made by bank transfer to staff within 5 working days after work is complete each month.

Requirements:

  • Education: High vocational Certificate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or relevant field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year with relevant work experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with accounting systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond to urgent requests, and meet regular deadlines.
  • Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Internet).
  • Positive attitude and excellent service mind.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
