About Plastic Smart Cities – TVA

Plastic Smart Cities is a WWF initiative that supports a no plastic in nature agenda. Since 2018, the initiative has supported cities and coastal centers in taking bold action to stop plastic pollution, with a goal to reduce plastic leakage into nature by 30% in the near term, and achieving no plastics in nature by 2030. In Thailand, the program focuses on four cities: Surat Thani, Samui Island, Songkhla and Hatyai.

Background of assignment

As the Plastic Smart Cities-TVA project concludes, the team aims to create a documentary that not only showcases the project’s success stories but also raises awareness of WWF’s mission and commitment to a plastic-free future. This documentary will highlight our goal to ensure the project’s initiatives remain sustainable even after WWF’s involvement ends. The documentary will feature powerful community stories, captured through high-quality photography, videography, and interviews. WWF’s communications team and field coordinators will assist the production team in capturing high-resolution images, b-roll footage, and interviews to create knowledge products that support advocacy, increase visibility, inspire behavior change, strengthen partnerships, and aid fundraising efforts.

In addition to expertise in photography and videography, the ideal candidate should have a proven track record of creating impactful content that engages diverse audiences across multiple platforms. Familiarity with conservation, environmental, or sustainable development issues—especially in responsible resource management—is highly desirable.
