Position: Project Communication Officer (Child v State)
Project Summary (Brief)
The implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and its subsequent integration into Thai law over the past 30 years has not been widely recognized, particularly in the operational mechanisms of government agencies and civil society organizations. These mechanisms were established to increase accountability and prevent violations of children's rights. However, the slow development of integrating these provisions into Thai law has presented challenges in the strategic litigation of children's rights (CRSL) within Thai courts. The "Child v. State" project aims to explore and test these mechanisms to enhance transparency and accountability of those legally responsible, while also investigating potential strategies for planning and implementing strategic litigation to protect children's rights at the national level.
