ADRA Thailand is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Project Manager to work at our office in Mae Sot district, Tak province.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager to manage the relationship between ADRA Thailand and project implementation partners. Act as the focal point for coordination with Thai Vocational Training Colleges and Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC)
Collaborate with all Area Coordinators to organize Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions and Lead/responsible person to coordinate with MST-VTC on monitoring visits.
Prepare quarterly reports in Thai to the Ministry of Interior (MOI)
Support in attending MOI meeting in field level and report to project manager
Assist project manager in gathering staff monthly activities planning
Assist project manager to maintain and update assets for Tak camps.
Assist project manager to coordinate with VTCs on updating curriculum for VT courses
Assist project manager to coordinate with area team to make sure VT training statistic are on time sending to M&E officer.
Maintain strong relationships with local Thai Authorities and NGOs/CBOs working in the camps along the border
Review and prepare application for registration of VT trainees. Ensure accuracy of trainees name and subject enrolled.
Prepare document to obtain camp pass for visitors and materials delivery to camp.
Distribute monthly stipend to camp staff (trainers & VT camp staff)Support project manager to prepare an official Thai letter to government offices.
Perform other tasks as required by the Project Manager.
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
A strong commitment to ADRA’s mission, vision, and values
Bachelor in relevant technical, management, or development field
Minimum of 4 years experience in project management working with an NGO or CBO
Experience in education or vocational training
Strong cross cultural and interpersonal skills
Negotiation skills, ability to effectively represent ADRA in relations with partners and other stakeholders
Strong team operational management skills
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office
Thai native speaker and sufficient in Karen, English and Burmese language skills will be an advantage
Ability to prioritize and work independently
