About the Role
The Program Officer – GEDSI and VR works collaboratively with the Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Victim Rights Director, Leadership Team and country teams to support ASEAN and ASEAN Member states to realise the rights of victims of trafficking and pursue gender-sensitive and inclusive counter-trafficking initiatives.
GEDSI and victim rights are cross-cutting themes and contribute to the achievement of all of ASEAN-ACT’s EOPOs and intermediate outcomes. The position works to support ASEAN and ASEAN Member States to integrate gender-sensitive, child-friendly, trauma-informed, and inclusive approaches to preventing and responding to trafficking in persons.
The role is best suited to a proactive and well-organised team player who has strong experience in project coordination and is interested in a dynamic regional program.
Specific Duties
The Program Officer – GEDSI and VR supports the implementation of GEDSI and victim rights activities across ASEAN-ACT's projects and target countries. Specifically, the GEDSI and Victim Rights Program officer will be responsible for:
Project Management

Communicate and liaise with relevant project partners, ASEAN-ACT country teams and consultants to ensure effective and efficient project implementation of related GEDSI and Victim Rights activities across ASEAN-ACT’s activities.

Assist and coordinate the implementation of GEDSI and Victim Rights related program-supported activities, ensuring they are implemented effectively and efficiently, and that results are appropriately monitored and reported.

Support drafting of concept notes/terms of reference for workshops, meeting or project sub-activities using ASEAN-ACT’s templates with guidance from the GEDSI and VR Director.

Support preparation and delivery of workshops and events, including invitations, materials, agendas and venue set-up, note taking and workshop summary reports.

Conduct and/or support monitoring and reporting of project/activity progress against relevant outputs and outcomes, including drafting six monthly and annual progress reports, updating monthly activity tracking in accordance with the program’s MEL procedures.

Selection Criteria
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. liberal arts, human rights laws, laws, political science, business administration, project management);
Essential Experience, Knowledge and Skills
-
The ability to work with senior officials, demonstrating high-level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build a strong working relationship with key counterparts at both national and regional levels, government and non-government stakeholders;

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, including experience in a cross-cultural environment and international setting;

Demonstrated administration and coordination skills, including the ability to plan and meet deadlines;

Attention to detail, and excellent organisation skills; and

Proficiency in written and oral English.
