Data Collector – Quantitative Research (Contract Position)

Rapid Asia is an independent management consulting firm based in Bangkok specializing in evaluations for programs, projects, social marketing campaigns, and other social development initiatives. We carry out program evaluations across a number of thematic areas including human trafficking, migration, gender, health, climate change, education, etc. Our clients include major donors, UN agencies, and international aid and development organizations. We take a regional approach to evaluations and have developed tools and indicators that can be used across borders for the purpose of evaluating program impact. Rapid Asia has conducted evaluations in 40 countries across Asia, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America.

We are currently looking up to 6 energetic individuals for a short-term assignment. The work entails doing quantitative data collection with foreign visitors in Bangkok. The selected candidates will receive training for this assignment. You will also receive a certificate upon successful completion of the assigned work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend the enumerator training session at our Bangkok office
• Follow quotas as stipulated by the sampling plan
• Conduct face-to-face interviews with foreigners using a computer tablet
• Ensure all survey interviews are complete with quality control

Requirements:

• Outgoing personality and well presented
• Pay attention to detail
• University graduate or student
• Excellent command and communication in English
• Excellent command and communication in one of these languages (Having a language proficiency certificate would be an advantage)
  • Mandarin
  • Cantonese
  • Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience with fundraising and sales (Would be an advantage)
• Ability to work in the Greater Bangkok area
• Ability to work with flexibility, including working on the weekends
• Interested in environmental issues
