ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Kenan Foundation Asia, a non-profit development organization working in partnership with companies, governments, academia, and committed individuals to empower people with the knowledge, technology, and skills necessary for a better future, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified person for the position of Manager (Education).
You will be responsible to manage and maintain relationships with partners in various organizations for projects and also engage the industry sector, education providers and key stakeholders to determine critical skills needs and leverage training expertise and resources from the stakeholders to support the transition of pipeline graduates into the workforce.
The Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Education program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Lead project management within Kenan's innovative education area, focusing on STEM education, environmental education, educational technology, technical and vocational education and education-to-employment.
- Plan, design, and implement projects by executing necessary actions, including capacity building, research, analysis, sub-grant management, budget management, monitoring and evaluation, and project reporting according to donor requirements and expectations.
- Provide technical expertise and insights on global development trends to support Kenan’s strategic focus in expanding program operations within the innovative education area.
- Contribute to project design and adaptation by offering technical knowledge on innovative education strategies, supporting new proposals, and adjusting ongoing projects to meet evolving program contexts.
Team Management
- Coach and develop team members to ensure effective program delivery.
Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including project partners, government officials, beneficiaries, and donors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PHD/Master Degree in preferred. Degree in education, industrial education, social science, business administration or related fields.
- At least 8 years of direct experience working on education, workforce development, youth development or related projects.
- Proven experience managing projects within non-profit organizations, particularly in STEM education, environmental education, educational technology, TVET, youth employment, or related research areas is highly desirable
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including educators, community members, donors, and governmental agencies
- Technical expertise in environmental education, science education, ESG is a plus
- Professional facilitation and training skill is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent written and oral skills in Thai and English Language.
