NPA Thailand is currently working in partnership and support to the Thailand Mine Action Centre (TMAC). In 2025, NPA is implementing the “Landmine Survey and Clearance” project in joint-operations with the Humanitarian Mine Action Unit 3 for technical survey including manual demining, mine detection dog and mechanical operations.

This technical survey and clearance will free up land where fear from mines/ERW currently impedes cultivation and other development/business initiatives.

Qualifications:

This position requires education and/or experiences as well as a strong ability in mechanical works. Main responsibilities are to maintain demining machine ensuring good condition and readiness for use in operations. Small repairments of machine are also expected. The machine is a remote controlled earth tilling system designed to clear landmines. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintenance and small repairment of other machines, vehicles, equipment using in the Programme as well, i.e. ATV, cars, metal detectors, grass cutters, and others. Additional experiences and good understanding in landmine survey and clearance will be strong assets.

General responsibilities:

Main responsibilities are to maintain demining machine, ensuring good condition and readiness for use in operations.
