Job Title: Campaigner, Plastics Campaign
Type of appointment: Fixed-term
Remuneration: 50,000-70,000 baht per month, depending on experience
Duration of contract: 12 months (potentially renewable or convertible to a permanent position, subject to performance review)
Location: Bangkok based with opportunity to travel often.

The Role
EJF is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Campaigner to join our Plastics Campaign team. This position focuses on addressing plastic pollution from a life cycle perspective, with a particular emphasis on advocating This role directly supports EJF 's ocean protection campaign by advocating for improved downstream management and policies related to recycling, waste-to-energy initiatives, and the elimination of landfills, open waste burnings, and illegal dumpings and waste trades which contribute to marine pollution. A key focus will be tackling Abandoned, Lost, or Otherwise Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG), one of the major sources of plastic pollution and the inclusion of frontline communities in policy-making processes.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives that aim to prevent plastics from entering marine ecosystems, thereby protecting marine life and supporting sustainable community-driven solutions for ocean conservation.
