Position Overview
The Faculty of Forestry at Kasetsart University (KUFF) is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Project Coordinator to lead international initiatives, develop strategic partnerships, and support project activities under the project of IMFN CLIMATE– REGIONAL MODEL FOREST NETWORK ASIA – KUFF.
This position will work closely with the Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Globalization to drive KUFF’s internationalization strategy, enhance global collaboration, and ensure the successful execution of donor-funded projects.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills to oversee international affairs initiatives, coordinate faculty-level global engagements, and work as part of a dynamic team with assistants providing administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work directly with the KUFF Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Globalization
- Support the Deputy Dean in executing internationalization plans and strategic global partnerships.
- Act as the key liaison between KUFF and international organizations, donors, and partner universities.
- Assist in decision-making, policy implementation, and developing initiatives that enhance KUFF’s global presence.
- Provide briefings, reports, and updates to ensure effective coordination between international affairs and project implementation.
2. Project Leadership & Strategic Development
- Lead the implementation, planning, and execution of the project of IMFN CLIMATE RMFN-ASIA-KUFF.
- Develop strategic work plans, set clear objectives, and track project progress.
- Oversee engagement with international forestry networks, donors, and partner institutions.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, develop project proposals, and ensure donor compliance.
3. International Affairs & Partnership Development
- Strengthen KUFF’s international networking efforts, including MoUs, academic partnerships, and faculty mobility programs.
- Organize and manage exchange programs, scholarships, and visiting scholar initiatives.
- Represent KUFF in global forestry conferences, academic forums, and international collaborations.
- Develop international branding strategies to enhance KUFF’s visibility and reputation.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Work as part of a team, coordinating with assistants and delegating tasks effectively.
- Guide and mentor assistants to ensure smooth project documentation, reporting, and logistical coordination.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment while ensuring efficiency in operations.
5. Event & Program Management
- Lead the planning and execution of international conferences, policy dialogues, and training workshops.
- Oversee and support study tours, delegation visits, and capacity-building programs.
- Work with assistants to streamline logistics, communications, and event coordination.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Develop and oversee a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework for KUFF’s international activities.
- Prepare high-quality reports for donors, stakeholders, and KUFF leadership.
- Document project impact, best practices, and lessons learned to inform future initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, International Relations, Project Management, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in project leadership, international affairs, or donor-funded programs.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, International Relations, Project Management, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in project leadership, international affairs, or donor-funded programs.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute activities, manage resources, and collaborate effectively with the Deputy Dean and the KUFF team.
- Experience in grant writing, donor reporting, and securing international funding, along with demonstrated expertise in MoU development and managing international partnerships.
- Excellent English communication skills, Thai native with written/spoken Thai-English proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset, with the ability to work effectively within the constraints of Kasetsart University's official document processes.
Contract Terms & Benefits
- Contract Duration: 1-year contract (April 1, 2025 – March 30, 2026), renewable based on performance and funding availability.
- Location: Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand.
- Working Hours: Full-time (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday) with flexibility to work outside regular hours when urgent tasks arise.
- Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 THB per month (based on experience and qualifications)
