Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 30 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated, and experienced Thai national for the position as Partner Admin / Finance Support Officer

Main Responsibilities and Duties
Partner Admin and Finance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all partner-related financial matters.
- Communicate with relevant Partner staff to ensure timely submission of partners’ financial reports as per the agreed schedule with adequate and accurate supporting documents.
- With relevant Partner staff ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records and documentation, maintaining a high standard of integrity and adherence with MI Partner Admin Guideline.
- Conduct regular expenditure verification at Partner office according to schedule set with Supervisor, coupled with proactive follow-up on financial activities applying effective negotiation skills to address and resolve any issue related to finance matters.
- While working with Partner counterparts, identify risks and concerns and advise on areas of improvement.
- Assess finance training needs and facilitate financial training (with the approval of Partner Management), ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet program financial requirements and standards.
- Follow-up and discuss with Partners regarding various policies and standards that they, according to partnership agreement, are required to have in place and to effectively follow/implement. Any such requirements should be successfully completed for the collaboration between MI and Partners to be successful.
General Finance and Accounting
- Ensure to follow MI financial, logistic, and procurement policy/guidelines in all matters linked to the work chores described in job description.
- Prepare and verify petty cash and expenditure vouchers, correct calculations with appropriate financial support documentation before submitting them to the Finance Officer.
- Ensure expenses are recorded using correct budget lines and clear descriptions and report timely in WINPACCS Accounting software in close collaboration with the Senior Finance Officer and Accounting Support Unit (ASU) for adjustments or corrections.
- Assist the Senior Finance Officer in preparing for year-end financial closure and related reporting required by Head Quarter in a timely manner.
- Assist the Senior Finance Officer with monthly Cash Control Protocols.
- Prepare documents for interim and final financial reports for donors and auditors, including support documents on staff data, rental contracts, service contract etcetera.
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Thai nationality.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance, accounting or related field.
- 2-5 years professional business administration, finance or accounting experience.
- Experience working in position in (I)NGO setting.
- Experience of working with refugees is considered an asset
- Fluency in both Thai and English.
- Able to communicate in either Burmese or Karen (Sgaw) languages in considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel QuickBooks, SAP).
- Proficiency with general MS Office applications (MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, etcetera).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Flexibility to work outside standard business and occasional travel to Partner locations or meetings as requested
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Willingness to provide police records showing absence of prior convictions and criminal activities (will be requested of any candidate considered for selection).
