Reporting to: Country Manager, Solidaridad Thailand
Solidaridad is an international civil society organisation with a focus on innovative solutions to enhance the sustainability of agricultural supply chains and other select sectors. Though well established across Asia, Solidaridad is relatively new in Thailand, with work to date confined to the sugarcane and fruit sectors. To further develop operations in Thailand, Solidaridad is now seeking a Business Development Consultant - Sustainable Agriculture to support the development of new projects and programs in Thailand. This role is critical in helping to expand Solidaridad’s portfolio in alignment with our strategic priorities around sustainable development, agriculture, and climate resilience. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cross-cutting initiatives that contribute to more equitable and sustainable supply chains.
Thematic experience or networks in the following sectors will be considered an asset: sugarcane/bioethanol, palm oil, rubber, and sustainable tourism.
Scope of Work
1. Fundraising & Resource Mobilisation
· Identify and pursue funding opportunities from both domestic and international donors and financiers. This may include public, private and novel forms of finance.
· Support the preparation of concept notes and funding proposals.
· Provide strategic insight into the funding landscape in Thailand, with a focus on sustainability-related funding streams.
· Leverage existing networks and cultivate new relationships with donors and philanthropic organizations.
2. Strategic Program Development
· Work closely with the Country Manager and regional teams to conceptualise new programs aligned with Solidaridad’s core themes.
· Provide inputs into project design, theory of change, and results frameworks.
· Contribute to the integration of cross-cutting themes such as productivity, water stewardship, soil health, and climate-smart practices.
