I. Background
According to the five-year strategic plan, WWF Thailand needs to build its brand and support its conservation programs with appropriate positioning in conservation, corporate marketing, fund raising. The Communications Officer will help to manage online and offline communication with WWF’s stakeholders and increase brand awareness, as well as maintain a digital presence for WWF Thailand. This position also responds to the implementation of conservation project communications to ensure that conservation projects and activities campaign and awareness have been raised to the public and target audiences according to the plan.
II. Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead in coordinating and organizing campaign, events, public forums, consultations, and workshops in corporate and conservation projects of WWF-Thailand
- Manage Communications messages and respond to WWF-stakeholders through various activities and channels such as, social media, press releases, organization and management statement.
- Ensure timely publication and release schedule to in line with communication strategy.Maintain a stable digital presence for WWF Thailand including coordination of digital communications, campaigns, marketing and fundraising efforts.
- Manage communication with donors, potential donors, visitors digitally through provision of accurate information and on timely manner. The information provided to donors, potential donors, visitors must carry organization values.
- Engage with media and influencers for building the organization reputation
- Work with Head of Communications, assists and initiate idea to reach communication strategy
- Regular conservation movement monitoring
- KPI for any particular project.
- Provide the support to other department per assignment of manager.
III. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of 2 year of professional experience in a related field or communications role.
- Experience in area of marketing and communication. Familiarity with digital engagement and digital marketing will be prioritized.
- Knowledge in Conservation is a plus.
- Knowledge in Social Media management, Public Relations writing in Thai and English, translation skills.
IV. Working Relationships
Internal
- Conservation Team – Coordinate to gather related information and involve on site for communications activities to ensure the correct information being spread out to the right target at the right time.
- Fundraising and Marketing Division – Assist design and initiate the communication activities and messages to create a brand engagement which may lead to future fundraising.
External
- Government Agencies, Related Journalists, and Reporters – Invite in any activity and provide conservation contents as needed.
- Local Communities, Other NGOs, and Related Stakeholders – Interview the situation and information due to generating media contents.
- Digital Advertising agency – Coordinate and initiate the events.
