The International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers’ Associations (IUF) is an international federation of trade unions representing workers employed in agriculture and plantations; the preparation and manufacture of food and beverages; hotels, restaurants and catering services; and all stages of tobacco processing. We are seeking a passionate, politically conscious individual to join our team as a Union Organizer. This role is ideal for someone committed to advancing workers’ rights, building democratic unions, and challenging systemic oppression in the workplace. You will work directly with workers to facilitate union formation, conduct trainings, and support campaigns that defending and advancing members’ rights and increase membership.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate meetings and trainings for workers
• Support workers in forming and strengthening unions
• Translate and interpret between Thai and English during meetings and for documents
• Conduct research on industries and employment structures relevant to organizing
• Coordinate with union secretariats and members to ensure smooth communication and follow-up
• Prepare regular activity reports in English
• Assist the secretariat team with social media content and management

 Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Humanities, Phillosophy or related social sciences
• Bachelor’s degree holders must demonstrate strong research skills and field work experience.
• Strong interest in labor movements and workers’ rights
• Proficient in English-Thai and Thai-English translation and interpretation
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Able to conduct or willing to learn how to conduct worker trainings
• Independent, proactive, and emotionally resilient
• Able to travel solo across regions
• Feminist and politically aware of intersecting oppressions (gender, race, ethnicity, migration)
• Creative thinker who challenges conventional and come up with new organizing approaches
