Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 20 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters and surrounding villages in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced Thai national for the position as IT Officer.

I.T. Officer (1)

Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province

Work locations: Mae Saring, Mae Ra Ma Luang and Mae La Oon Camp

Main Responsibilities/Duties

Maintain all computer equipment hard ware and software to ensure proper function.

Ensure timely and regular data back-up and organize data storage

Ensure adequate antivirus/ malware protection and problem solving.

Advise on IT needs and upgrading of equipment.

Maintain network set-up and configurations in all office facilities where such exist and ensure integrity and security of data.

Maintain internet connection and configuration to ensure maximum connectivity and security.

Maintain IT inventory through regular checks and status updates.

Support office to develop databases.

Provide technical support, training and assistance to office staff and camp staff when required.

Assist HIS officer in monitoring and collection of data for the health information system & substitute when needed.

Support HIS Officer to enable timely reporting of data to relevant actors

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor degree in computer Science or relevant combination of other education with relevant and sufficient courses including hardware, software, and networking

At least 2 years work experience with IT solutions and networking

Sufficient experience with database/SQL to set up, operate and maintain basic databases.

Intermediate level of written and spoken English.

Ability to work independently with great sense of responsibility and initiative taking.

Non-judgmental and supportive attitude towards colleagues and beneficiaries.

Possible starting date:                       as soon as possible.
