Qualifications
Education, Knowledge & Professional Experience
- Relevant academic degree or further qualification.
- Expert in accounting principles.
- Experience in/or involvement in auditing.
- Experience in financial reporting for different donors.
- Experience in providing training to different stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience working in International NGOs would be advantage.
- Ability to travel abroad.
- At least 5 years experience in related position.
Languages
- English(professional proficiency)
- Thai (professional proficiency)
Tools
- Good knowledge of MS Office (particularly advanced Excel skills)
- Good knowledge of accounting software, Quickbook software would be advantage
Main Activities
Administration
- Prepare payments, generate cheques and submit to authorized persons for signature.
- Ensure that all bank transactions conform to the agreed banking contracts, controls and arrangements.
- Monitor daily bank balances to ensure that issued cheques and transfers are adequately funded.
- Perform monthly reconciliation, closing books of accountants and prepare appropriate reports.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts in consultation with Operations Manager.
- Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to appropriate accounts following CBM guidelines/structures.
- Prepare financial checklists and alert management of possible fraud or lack of accuracy in financial accounts submitted by partners/ CBM country and regional offices.
- Carry out other tasks as may be required for smooth running of the office.
- Provide financial training to regional CBM team and/or partners on CBM financial formats/forms, reporting and monitoring systems.
Statistics
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to access accuracy and completeness.
- Examine monthly financial reports from Country Coordination Offices and provide feedback.
- Oversee project financial/ account matters and provide guidelines and suggestions
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic MIS reports monthly.
- Ensure complete preparation of annual audit for the RO office and follow-up recommendations made.
- Oversee preparation of annual audit for CBM country offices.
