Activism and Youth Coordinator

To be responsible for the management an activist program of Amnesty International Thailand which supporting the campaign themes. Coordinating and provide training and support to activists. The activism coordinator reports to Head of campaign and coordinator and works closely with policy advocacy coordinator and media and communication coordinator, the activism AI International Team and other staff and volunteers.
- Develop and work with activism to mobilized human rights campaigns and movement of AI Thailand and AI global human rights movement.
- Develop activist curriculum, content and material in relation with AI Thailand campaign theme
- Raise awareness on campaign theme to potential members, activists and interested public focusing on Youth.
- Coordinate, provide support and training to youth group in carrying activism
- Organize activism workshop annually for individual youth activists and youth groups
- Organize public actions in ways that groups, members, and other stakeholders can substantially get involved and participate.
- Develop and implement outreach activities to persuade groups, members, and public to take action in campaigns
- Develop and maintain online activism
- Record database of those taking actions to the AI Th database system
- Follow up and update the news with those taking action
- Ensure the continuing two-way communication with all stakeholders.
- Develop the assessment tool for a project monitoring and evaluation
- Evaluate and report the progress of the implementation of the program.
- Work closely with policy coordinator and media and communication coordinator.
- Develop and coordinate on the work of human rights education in order to provide capacity building to activism and networks.
- Link the work with growth department on develop AI memberships, supporters and donors on supporting journey and be part of AI Activisms.
- Supervise interns, volunteers and part time working in the team.
- Work as assigned by the supervisor.
- Thai nationality
- At least 3-year professional work experience with similar responsibility
- Proven coordinating and project management skills
- Good command of English and Thai (spoken and written)
- Be self-motivated
- Be able to work well on multiple tasks under pressure
- Committed to Amnesty International’s mission and principles
- Experience and knowledge of human rights and social justice and/or education.
- Work experience in managing human rights training projects.
- Work experience with youths and activist.
