Plan International Thailand Job Re-Advertisement : Local Capacity Development Manager
Plan is an international humanitarian, child-centered development organization, implementing development programs that promote the realization and fulfilment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty.
Position: Local Capacity Development Manager (LCD/CSO project)
Assignment duration: One year contract with likely extension
Duty station: Bangkok
JOB BACKGROUND: The Local Capacity Development Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of the “Building Strong Civil Society Organizations and Networking for Sustainable Development” project funded by SIDA/Plan Sweden.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the country strategic plan in term of local capacity development both organizational and technical knowledge and skills for implementing partners and CSO members of CRC Coalition Network as well as representing Plan Thailand in national and international fora. The incumbent will act as a leader to ensure the strengthening of local society organizations (CSOs) and influence them to work on a common agenda for children of most-at-risk populations in the long term and shall work toward child-centred programming.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: At least Master degree in Social Science, Education, or related field; minimum five years’ experience in Project Management, Community Development, Human Resources Development; three years’ experience at management level; proven knowledge on Child Rights Conventions and Thai Child Protection Act 2003; good English skills; experience in CRC Coalition Network and Children Network will be advantage.
