RECOFTC – The Center for People and Forests holds a unique and important place in the world of forestry. It is the only international not‐for‐profit organization that specializes in capacity development for community forestry and devolved forest management. RECOFTC engages in strategic networks and effective partnerships with governments, nongovernment organizations, civil society, the private sector, local people, and research and educational institutes throughout the Asia‐Pacific region and beyond. With over 30 years of international experience and a dynamic approach to capacity development—involving research, analysis and synthesis; strategic communication; training and learning networks; and piloting and demonstrating—RECOFTC delivers innovative solutions for people and forests.
RECOFTC is now seeking a Program Administrative Officer under Program Coordination and Operations (PROCO) unit. The successful candidate will be based at RECOFTC headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. The contract period will be up to 30th September 2017 with a possibility of extension.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Administrative Officer works as a team member of the Program Coordination and Operations (PROCO) Unit, and will contribute to the development and implementation of PROCO’s activities as outlined in the RECOFTC Strategic Plan 2013-2018, as well as ensure the smooth running of the PROCO Unit. S/he will be responsible for:
S/he is directly responsible to the PROCO Manager, and will also be accountable to other program staff, clients, partners, collaborators and funding agencies.

The Program Administrative Officer will provide supports to program development, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and management of resources. More specific duties are as follows:
