Intern, ARO Finance

This internship aims to offer students undergoing graduate or post-graduate studies and recent graduates a meaningful work experience by supplementing their learning through a practical and on-the-job training approach. In doing so, the intern’s knowledge is supplemented through a practical learning experience while IUCN derives some level of advantage from the young professional’s services as well as the possibility of gaining new perspectives from the intern.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will support the Regional Finance Unit in the outlined tasks and will be trained and mentored on basic functions of the finance unit.

The Intern will support ARO finance unit in:
- Preparation of monthly debit credit notes
- Disbursement of cheques and cash where necessary
- Filing of documents
- Assist in locating and submitting documents to auditors
- Assist with ARD related work
- Cash disbursements at workshops where applicable
- Photocopying and scanning of documents

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor or advance degree or equivalent qualification in Finance & Accounting

• Financial planning and reporting skills

• Strong credibility, aptitude and ability for problem solving.

• Ability to deliver under pressure/aptitude for number crunching

• Ability to communicate in English

• Comfortable to work in multi-cultural environment

• Willingness to learn is essential
