Job Summary: 

As the Engagement Systems Coordinator, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our online movement for Greenpeace Southeast Asia. Bringing best practice, innovative digital system strategies and implementation to our work, you will generate meaningful digital engagement – for a variety of project and organizational priorities across our digital communications channels. Enhancing our online activism, online community building and developing an online movement will further support the digital needs of our organization. 

This is a full-time position based in either Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.  Candidates who have the legal right to work and live in Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties

  1. Digital System Strategy & Implementation
  • Develop, coordinate, and align digital products and system management.
  • Standardizing sites and petitions from the back-end to ensure effective flow of data between EN and SF (Universe)
  • Developer Capacity Building, both providing the capacity and building a list of available developers for Project Teams to use
  • Support the Database Reports Officer and the Data & Engagement Strategy Manager to connect data systems with reporting mechanisms across digital channels
  • Implementation of Planet 4
  1. Monitoring & Analysis
  • Design and produce analytics used to optimize and improve digital engagement materials, strategies, and performance
  • Provide regular and consistent analysis on participation, audience identification, and project insights
  • Contribute to the assessment of digital strategies
  • Research online global best practices and build key strategic relationships with other specialists across the sector to ensure we are able to meet our external impact targets
  1. Project Support
  • Support digital engagement strategy development and implementation for projects
  • Support and assist cross-functional teams in online marketing and mobilization strategies
  • Support capacity for project teams to implement digital strategy
  • Contribute to integration of brand, project and audience strategy development.
  • Provide back up technical assistance as required
  • Disseminate online organizational and engagement knowledge across Greenpeace Southeast Asia
  1. Other duties as directed. 

Educational Background & Fundamental Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Web Design preferred or relevant industry experience
  • Work Experience:         Minimum of 5 years of related to Digital and Social Marketing

Functional Skills

  • Knowledge and/or experience in developing online organization and mass mobilization strategies
  • Knowledge and/or experience in online organizing theory and practice
  • Knowledge and/or experience in communicating ideas in a simple and effective manner
  • Knowledge and/or experience in working with diverse teams and multi-cultural arrangements
  • Knowledge and/or experience in digital activism and movement building
  • Knowledge and/or experience in training
  • Knowledge and/or experience in producing written and visual communications for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge and/or experience in technical support for common channels and basic programming
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Salesforce and/or Engaging Networks is desirable 

Specific Work Environment

This position requires the employee to have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt and work in different and challenging work and cultural environments, which may include flexible arrangements working in challenging field and frontline work environments.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE APPLYING TO THIS POST

WORKING HOURS

Normal hours of work for full time Employee will be forty (40) per week or (5) days in a week, at 8 hours per day excluding an hour lunch break. This will be from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am to 6: 30 pm. Ordinary hours of work may be varied as agreed between staff and the line managers.

LEAVE

A permanent employee will be entitled to the following leaves:

Annual Leave: 20 days

Parental Leave:  As per labor laws and Greenpeace policy

Long Service Leave: 2 months paid leave after 5 years of continuous service

Compassionate leave: maximum of 5 days for the death of significant others

SALARY

In determining salary offer for this position, Greenpeace applies its Salary Grading Process, taking into consideration the job description and applicant’s previous experience, and the organization’s salary grade.
