Technical Service for Helmet Observation for the three-year 7% Project
Background
According to the WHO, Thailand has the 2nd most dangerous roads in the world over 2,600 children die and more than 72,000 are injured on Thailand's roads every year. However, only 7% of children wear helmets when riding motorcycles, even when their parents do. The 7% Project, in partnership with AIP Foundation, was piloted this past year and will continue for an additional three years. Scaling up for the second year of the project is taking place in Bangkok which covering North, South, East and West of Bangkok Areas.

Purpose of Work
This service team will film the observations and conduct the assessment of students’ helmet wearing for the intensive targeted schools based on the project methodology and agreement with Save the Children 7% Team.
Scope of Work
In close coordination and consultation with the Project Implementation team, the Technical service team is expected to undertake the following main tasks:

Qualifications and Profile
Management of Work
The researcher team will be directly reporting and be accountable to Child Safety and DRR Project Coordinator based in Bangkok who will approve all outputs or documents developed by the consultant, related to the consultancy engagement. Also ensuring the quality of the observation survey results by Child Safety & DRR Specialist and Senior Bangkok Field Coordinator.
Budget
The researcher team is requested to submit the proposal, work plan and detailed budget with their application letter. The financial competitiveness of the fee will be considered in the selection process.
