This is a local search of young talent and only nationals or individuals holding the appropriate visa of the duty station (Thailand) are eligible to apply.
This internship aims to offer students undergoing graduate or post-graduate studies and recent graduates a meaningful work experience by supplementing their learning through a practical and on-the-job training approach. In doing so, the intern’s knowledge is supplemented through a practical learning experience while IUCN derives some level of advantage from the young professional’s services as well as the possibility of gaining new perspectives from the intern.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Mangroves for the Future (MFF)
Work with the MFF Programme Manager, Knowledge and Sustainability, and Programme Assistant to contribute to the Knowledge Management and Communications component of the MFF Programme.
1. Develop an image database for the MFF Programme;
1.1. Coordinate the collation of images from National Coordinators, and Regional Secretariat staff
1.2. Organise images appropriately and assign tags/keywords
1.3. Develop and maintain a suitable image storage system that is searchable using tags/keywords
2. Update MFF website content using the Content Management System (CMS)
2.1. Collate project information from existing sources (e.g. reports) and through communications with National Coordinators and MFF Regional Secretariat staff
2.2. Update website content accordingly for country and project pages, including project summaries and adding appropriate images, reports and knowledge products.
2.3. Conduct routinely website tasks such as updating thematic pages, vacancies, events, news stories, resources (images, documents, videos) etc.
3. Update the Document Management System
3.1. Review the current structure of the DMS, revise the file structure in collaboration with the Programme Manager and Programme Assistant, and harmonise content. This includes applying appropriate file names, revising tags/keywords, and adding document descriptions.
3.2. Based upon request, support in general updates to Asia Region DMS site, country DMS sites and Gender in MFF and IUCN DMS site
4. MFF knowledge products
4.1. Work with the Programme Manager, Programme Assistant, and National Coordinators to compile a database of all knowledge products produced by MFF.
4.2. Ensure that knowledge products (e.g. reports, publications, outreach materials, educational materials) are appropriately filed in the DMS and website
4.3. Assist with the background research, analysis, and development of new knowledge products as needed, including; infographics, reports, presentations, etc.
5. MFF knowledge events
5.1. Assist with the preparation, coordination and implementation of MFF knowledge events including workshops, trainings, seminars etc.
6. Other supporting tasks related to the MFF Programme as requested.
