TREAT Asia-Therapeutics, Research, Education, and AIDS Training in Asia-is a network of clinics, hospitals, research institutions and community organizations working to ensure the safe and effective delivery of HIV/AIDS treatments throughout Asia and the Pacific. TREAT Asia is searching for the following to be based in Bangkok, Thailand
Administrative Assistant, Community, Policy, and Education
Primary functions:
Performs a variety of administrative duties and provides staff support to the Community and Policy, and Education programs
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Community and Policy, and Education Program teams, including but not limited to answering telephones, assisting in responding to inquiries, review and control of incoming and outgoing correspondence, communication with external program partners, and assisting with follow-up on operational commitments.
- Assist with the arrangement and implementation of meetings, trainings and events including but not limited to travel arrangements, meeting material and venue preparations, and on-site administrative support, as required.
- Monitor, reconcile, and assist with fiscal administration including but not limited to budgets, funding, grants, contracts, expenses reports, travel, external vendors, and purchasing.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for the Community and Policy, and Education Project Managers.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of briefs, summaries, or other communication materials highlighting program activities, by assisting with researching and compiling relevant information from different sources.
- Establish, update, and maintain files, inventories, and records; implement and maintain data management systems, as required.
- Perform other administrative work and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
- One to three years of prior administrative assistant experience.
- Familiarity with HIV and/or community-based organizations a plus.
- Language skills: Written and oral competency in English; fluency in Thai.
- Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Adobe Acrobat a plus.
- Detail oriented and organized; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A Thai work permit is not provided with this position.
