Position Title: Sustainability Transformation Manager
Division/Department: Sustainable Market
Reporting to: Country Director
Subordinate Position Title: Fisheries Project Manager, Agri-Forestry Project Manager, Sustainable Finance Manager
Background and Purposes:
As the world's growing population reaches the shortage and unsustainability on food and natural resources, WWF Thailand now lauch its Sustainable Market project in fisheries, forestry, and agriculture to assist and guide businesses towards a more environmentally sustainable practice. WWF plans to achieve this by engaging with various stakeholders including government agencies, private sectors, standard owners and consumers to influence this change. This major position's purpose is to lead all project team to raise awareness in natural resource sustainability to corporates, consumers, and suppliers.
Major Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies in cooperation with corporate engagement and conservation strategies teams to ensure the desired outcome with targeted businesses and industries.
- Manage, delegate and guide direction to each project manager in order to achieve strategic objectives
- Manage existing corporate relationships and secure new corporate partnerships in conjunction with Corporate Engagement with national and multinational businesses for the development of commodity production standards and certification
- Engage with WWF network to gain further supports on related works such as pressure on industry manufacturing
- Represent WWF-Thailand at meetings with the Thai government and industry leaders
- Lead WWF efforts with project managers to improve government policies or regulations in commodity production
- Manage the overall budget, reports, and projections to meet the donors' expectation and efficiency of project operation
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in environmental science, natural resource management, laws, policy, or in relevant fields
- 5 years in sustainable markets or other relevant disciplines
- 5 years project management in the complexity project
- 5 years in managing senior team members
- Fluently in English
- Negotiation skill
