Project Overview
Pact is recruiting a short-term consultant for a USAID project that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by catalyzing private finance to upscale and drive investment in the agriculture, forestry, and other land-use sector toward low-emission yet profitable business models. The project supports countries in Asia to scale-up low-emission land management best practices through the development of a pipeline of investible projects and businesses in the sustainable landscapes sector, increased private sector investments into sustainable, low-emissions land management businesses, and improved capacity of sustainable landscapes stakeholders.
Objective
This assignment aims to provide technical support for the due diligence on two rubber concessions based in Indonesia. The due diligence is a key activity prior to defining a scope of work with the company. The short-term consultant will work with the Senior AFOLU advisor on this assignment.
Methodology
The due diligence process is based on multiple methods such as observation and field visit, interviews, revision of existing documents, and discussions with experts.
