SOCIAL PROGRAM MANAGER – SAMUT SAKHON
Life Prep Foundation is a Thai Foundation operating children’s outreach and protection programs in Chiang Mai and Samut Sakhon provinces.
The mission of the Foundation is to elevate and improve access to quality education for all children living in Thailand. We do so by working on a family integration program for former boarding students, education support projects for children in over eight provinces, a residential program for vulnerable children, and community outreach projects for marginalized children in Chiang Mai and Samut Sakhon provinces.
Life Prep exists to support the most marginalized children in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Samut Sakhon, and you will be responsible for managing staff and program activities for community outreach and child protection in the Mahachai, Samut Sakhon area.
DUTIES
- Demonstrate a forward thinking, open-minded approach to social and community issues.
- Help maintain a friendly, progressive, open and welcoming organizational culture for all employees.
- Maintain a positive relationship with SCHSF beneficiaries, their families and the community which SCHSF serves.
- Establish positive relationships with partners, Government Departments/ Ministries.
- Use of excellent leadership qualities.
- Possess a clear understanding of case management, child rights and child protection issues.
- Manage social program staff, including monitoring of job performance, evaluations, weekly meetings and planning
- Coordinate with managers of other projects on sharing resources, communicating activities, etc
- Manage money and expenses related to social program on a weekly basis
- Work with the program coordinator to provide updates and guidance on planning and process for the residential program staff
- Prepare and maintain data and/or case files for children who are identified in the community, and work with the program coordinator on case management for each child
- Any other duties that are identified as urgent by management
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an NGO as a senior manager.
- Excellent Thai and English speaking skills.
- Excellent Computer proficiency (Microsoft office, emails, Skype etc.)
- Degree or masters in relevant field with preference of social or development qualifications.
- Ability to adapt to extremely challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be prepared to work flexibly hours in certain situations.
- Must be honest, reliable, friendly, willing to learn & work hard.

Line and Staff manager (= the immediate superior in the management chain; the person who signs off your holiday requests, directs your time allocation, and will deliver any disciplinary proceedings): Foundation’s Program Advisor
LOCATION
Samut Sakhon province, with occasional travel to Chiang Mai province.
