Annually we send over 8,000 volunteers to 27 developing countries to work as volunteers or interns at various projects such as teaching, care, business, human rights, medicine, journalism, law and conservation. Our offices and local staff in each destination provide back-up and support for our volunteers which is vital to the success of the organisation.
We are looking to employ Volunteer Coordinator (Field Coordinator - Office Administrator) for Thailand Destination. The main role is to be a frontline liaison with volunteers, helping out the volunteers in tackling the culture-shock they gain. Flexibility is the key to this role. The nature of the position entails frequent, timely and effective communication with volunteers and local staff members. Our fundamental mission is to provide support to critical areas and promote a cultural exchange that will benefit both our volunteers and the communities in which they work. The job is busy and can be physically demanding so you should be prepared to work flexible hours and be willing to travel within the area when necessary.

Job Summary
|
To manage all operations and logistics associated with the volunteers’ daily routines on the Conservation Project. Including the supervision of the volunteers, meeting the daily needs of the volunteers and organisation of field activities.
Also in charge of the Organisation and supervision of the Community, Education and Awareness Projects; - Training of volunteers in cultural awareness and project activities; - Participate in Leading scientific surveys - Project and office administration; - Assisting the Project Manager with all aspects of the project - Organising community outreach programs

Organizing Monthly Community Day |

Assist and oversee the conservation projects logistics

Bi-monthly Education and Awareness days |

Update the Room Board with new volunteer names

Feedbacks and DQ’s, giving, collecting, scanning and sending to SL office |

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience
|
Good written and spoken both English and Thai (TOEIC 550+)
|
|
Proven experience in organising and leading people
|
|
Scientific/research/salvage/dive experience would be an asset
|
|
Experience of working with NGOs/volunteers/young people with multicultural environment
|
|
Familiarity with field operation logistics and administration
|
Knowledge
|
Proven ability to implement operational plans.
|

Proficient in the use of MS Office and the internet/online systems.
