Position Title: Conservation Communications Officer
Division/Department: Communications
Reporting to: Conservation and Marketing Communications Manager
Background and Purposes:
According to five-year strategic plan, WWF Thailand needs to build its brand and support its conservation programs with appropriate positioning in conservation, corporate marketing, fundraising (face to face and digital) merchandising and major donor relations. So, the communications will be the one driver to empower this strategy. The conservation communication officer responses to the implementation of conservation project communication to ensure the conservation projects and activities campaign and awareness have been raised up to the public and target audiences according to the plan.
Major Role Responsibilities
1 Survey on conservation sites and gather the information or observation in order to convert to be media contents.
2 Develop conservation contents for the news release, project information for stakeholders such as the newsletter, corporate partnerships, and other communications channels
3 Initiate the social media theme and implement events, campaigns, or related activities and analyze the result of media exposure due to the further plan
4 Lead in coordinating and organizing events, public forums, consultations, and workshops about conservation issues
5 Manage the communications component of WWF’s conservation strategy to supporting communications team
6 Develop the network of contacts including relevant ministries and government agencies, other NGOs, and local communities to promote conservation program objectives
