Your main task within our logistics department would be mainly to provide support in accordance with Logistics standards, ICRC rules, financial procedures and regulations, this may include the following activities:
Main tasks
- Draws up monthly expenditure forecasts
- Is responsible for procurement activities and quality management
- Resolves transactional problems with financial services and suppliers
- Compiles and reconciles suppliers’ invoices against purchasing documentation
- Ensures that purchase order files are kept up-to-date and ready for audits
- Updates and follows up on supplier files
- Maintains independently the ICRC logistics computer systems (FSS) and train users on it
- Statistical reporting, archiving and filing
- Ensure the transportation and reception of goods
- Warehousing and follow-up on inventory level
- Assist in arranging and executing customs clearance and transit/forwarding of relief items
- Conduct support visits to ICRC offices in Thailand whenever required
- Assists the head of logistics in running logistics support in response to the operational needs in the region
Minimum required experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business administration
- 3 years’ experience in a similar field
- Capacity to carry out complex activities
- Ability to work independently and sense of initiative
- Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Computer literacy
GENERAL DUTIES
- Understands the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.
- Applies the delegation’s security rules at all times.
- Respects and observes staff regulations of the ICRC in Thailand.
- Performs duties and tasks not covered in this job description and provide support to other Departments when necessary.
