Position Title: Kuiburi Project Manager
Reporting to: DTL Manager
Subordinate Position Title: Senior Project Officer, Project Officer, Project Researcher
Number of Subordinates: 4 people
Base Location: Kuburi National Park, Prachuabkirikan
Background and Purposes:
The Kuiburi Wildlife Conservation project is established due to three objectives e.g. To strengthening SMART patrol and law enforcement effort, To monitor status of tiger, their prey and others species of wildlife (Research) and To reduce the likelihood of human-elephant conflict around Kuiburi National Park. The project manager aim to plan, implement, monitor and control all activities of the project to achieve according to donor commitment and manage resource include money spending, asset and people management of the team effectively.
Role Responsibilities
1 Initiate and plan the project action plan along the Kuiburi objectives to balance the interest among WWF standards, donors' expectation and WWF regulations
2 Monitor the progress activity work plan to ensure the project attains its objectives in a cost-effective, efficient and timely manner
3 Provide strong, transparent guidance to the Kuiburi project team to achieve successful completion of goals whenever needed
4 Manage the budget with the Conservation and Finance departments to guarantee the financial accountability and transparency of the project budget
5 Participate in project activities e.g. protected area management, patrol enhancement, DNP staff development, community enforcement and habitat improvement to help the project team understand how to best progress and evolve ongoing plans
6 Present and respond to ongoing circumstances in the covered areas as WWF representatives and accurately relate those circumstances to the DTL Manager, Conservation Manager and the Country Director. Also doing so with external stakeholders as deemed necessary.
7 Prepare and present the proposals of the Kuiburi project to raise awareness to present and future donors
