Job Summary:
As Regional Actions Campaigner you are a member of the Greenpeace Southeast Asia Public Engagement, Actions and Investigations (PEAI) Unit. The unit is primarily responsible for developing the capacity for and quality of Non-Violent Direct Actions (NVDA), Investigations and stronger Offline Engagement in projects across the region and contributing to the development of aligned engagement strategies in line with Programme priorities. The Regional Actions Campaigner will work closely with Programme and project leaders and the GPSEA actions community to ensure high quality strategic input and the availability and the development of needed NVDA capacities.
The Regional Action Campaigner is committed to non-violent direct actions and activism in general as a means of affecting change. You have solid knowledge and a proven track record in project management, campaigning, field logistics, direct action design, planning and delivery. You have experience in capacity development and have developed and delivered trainings in the realms of actions and creative campaigning. You have experience in managing and engaging with Actions related communities of practice, can engage and motivate people and deal with conflicts.
You should be equally comfortable in a warehouse as you are in meeting rooms and negotiations. As an experienced campaigner you can help develop objectives and appropriate tactics based on campaign strategies. You are a solution-oriented creative thinker, have strong communications skills and experience working in intercultural contexts, all of which will help you in strengthening and promoting activism and people engagement as a core campaigning approach throughout projects and Programme in Southeast Asia
This is a full-time position ideally based in one of our offices in Southeast Asia, Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila or Kuala Lumpur. The position requires extensive travel across SEA, and maybe required to work outside of the home base for extended periods on projects.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE APPLYING TO THIS POST
WORKING HOURS
Normal hours of work for full time Employee will be forty (40) per week or (5) days in a week, at 8 hours per day excluding an hour lunch break. This will be from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am to 6: 30 pm. Ordinary hours of work may be varied as agreed between staff and the line managers.
LEAVE
A permanent employee will be entitled to the following leaves:
Annual Leave: 20 days
Parental Leave: As per labor laws and Greenpeace policy
Long Service Leave: 2 months paid leave after 5 years of continuous service
Compassionate leave: maximum of 5 days for the death of significant others
SALARY
In determining salary offer for this position, Greenpeace applies its Salary Grading Process, taking into consideration the job description and applicant’s previous experience, and the organization’s salary grade.
