Regional Grant and Compliance Specialist

Position: Regional Grant and Compliance Specialist
Assignment duration: Fixed- Term Contract
Duty station: Bangkok
JOB BACKGROUND: The Regional Grant and Compliance Specialist will lead on grant management and administration for Asia Regional (ARO) Grant Projects and provide ARO management with technical and administrative support for oversight of grants management in Asia region. He/ She has to work closely with Regional management, Regional program team, International Headquarter(IH) and Country Grants functions to ensure Plan’s policies and procedures are followed and meet donors compliance for effective grants management. He/ She also serves as a focal point with Plan Thailand support team on matters related to ARO grants projects.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage grant funded projects effectively and comply with Plan’s grants management process and procedures. Provide technical and administrative support to ensure standards and processes are met relating to grant approvals, pipeline management and grant management. Ensures that ARO sub-grant / partnership agreements / contracts are effectively managed and complied with Plan’s policies and procedures. Ensure that ARO managed grant funded projects are in compliance with terms and conditions of donor agreements. Able to coordinate a grant portfolio of up to $4M annual budget with diverse back donors including USAID, EC, NORAD, SIDA and similar donors. Has to coordinate and engage across the global organization with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Professional preferably with a degree in a relevant area and experience in grants management, finance, accounting, audit, business administration or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, grants analysis. Familiarity with financial and administrative requirements of a variety of large grant donors. Capacity to plan, prioritize and execute autonomously with a strategic approach. Capacity to work under pressure. Excellent written and oral English communication. Can provide specialist technical advice independently. Extensive communication in writing and remote collaboration.
