The Borderland Health Foundation (BHF) is a non-for-profit, non-confessional and non-political organization, registered in Thailand. The Foundation is linked to a field station of the Mahidol - Oxford University Research Unit (SMRU) which located in Tak province, Thailand. BHF is working with marginalized populations along the Thailand-Myanmar border to scale up and support the health projects, translating the results obtained by SMRU.  The main areas of work are malaria, tuberculosis and maternal & child health.

Job title: IT Junior Officer (helpdesk)

• Job Purpose

The IT Junior Helpdesk have to ensure the operations of efficient and effective in Software, Hardware and services for the BHF IT system. Maintenance and monitoring of all computers and IT equipment.

• Tasks/Responsibilities

1. Manage hardware & software maintenance of IT equipment including network infrastructure in BHF –Mae Sot office.
2. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs.
3. Maintain inventory of BHF IT fixed assets, equipment and software, identify and report obsolete equipment.
4. Maintain internet connectivity and computer hardware to be compliant with BHF minimum standards in a timely manner.
5. Maintain and monitoring the BHF office, about computer system, resolving computer problems.
6. Assist with the upgrading and/or replacing computerized parts to maximize efficiency of office.
7. Other duties delegation by senior helpdesk and Managements.

• Position requirements

1. Education:

• B.A in IT or equivalent technical college diploma

2. Work experiences:

• 2-3 years in IT industry experience in Helpdesk or desktop support.

3. Skills & efforts:

• Fluent in Thai, Karen or Burmese and basic English
• Good communication skills
• Motivated and able to work under pressure
• Must be able to work on some weekendsand public holidays
• Ready to any assignment required by the foundation
