FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR
Scholars of Sustenance Foundation –

Purpose of Position:
Scholars of Sustenance is a locally registered non-profit foundation. Throughout the past two years, we've been able to successfully prove our food rescue model to follow our mission to fight food waste in Bangkok. We are seeking to expand our operations and we need your help to grow! In our active increase, we'll be moving to larger offices and aiming to raise more funds.
Through this growth, the position of a Fundraising Coordinator will be essential to the contribution of the development of SOS’s fundraiser plan and to ensure all of SOS’s public engagement efforts come from a unified voice that clearly and accurately represents the ethos of Scholars of Sustenance locally in Thailand and the overall visions of the global organization.
In the coming months, Thai SOS is seeking to launch their logo and brand, new website, new social media, etc... This role will take lead in helping to create all of these new communication systems, then continue to oversee them while engaging with ongoing and potential donors.
The ideal candidate has outstanding organizational and time-management skills with strong written and verbal communications skills and emphasizes proactive outreach with a customer service-friendly attitude.
This role will be a compromised of 3 major tasks:
- Overseeing all fundraising efforts including but not limited to events, workshops, and CSR activities
- Creating and nurturing relationships with strategic partners, in-kind donors, and financial donors – with the aims of hitting annual fundraising goals.
- Creating and maintaining SOS’s public voice in all on-line presence, social media, and articles/publications/videos. Along with ensuring all aspects of Thailand SOS language and voice stick to global brand guidelines.
Minimal Requirements:
- Thai National
- Fluent Written and Spoken Thai and English, Proficient at Thai typing
- Ability to culturally translate
- Ability to fluidly translate verbally in meeting settings
- Minimum Bachelors Required
- Preferred Fields of Study: Communications, Marketing, Finance,
- Or 2+ Years of working experience in related field (ie – Fundraising with proven track record)
- Proficient with: Adobe, Social Media, Web Building, CRM, Microsoft Word Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc…
- Extremely outgoing and friendly
Desired Qualifications:
Any or all of the following:
- Working background in the following: Social Media Communications, Content Writing, Design and Layout
- Background with NGOs, specifically fundraising
- Background in Grant Writing or Process
- Experienced managing budgets and day to day expenses
- Competent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

Internal: Local SOS Admin Team, Local SOS Operations/Driving Team, Local SOS Board
External: Strategic Partners, Corporate Donors, Events Organizers, Financial Donors, Global Board
Job Description:
At SOS, we are working to reduce food waste, through better management of surplus, along with providing tools and skills around food education to help communities become sustainable. We have grown rapidly over the last 2 years, and are now preparing to take on much larger projects in the coming year, along with completing revamping our look and communications.
The Public Relations Coordinator will be responsible for all administrative duties for the foundation;
Relationship Building & Fundraising Opportunities
- Regular appearances at networking events and engagement activities
- Participates in local professional development opportunities
- Connecting potential donors and recipients
- Food donors to Donor Relations Coordinator
- Food Recipients to Community Relations Coordinator
- Financial donors to Chief Operations Officer
- Responds actively to donor, recipient, and team requests.
- Reaches out to team members to seek expertise and counsel
- Logging all contacts into a shared drive for admin team and COO
- Assist with the planning and management of special events that support SOS’s fundraising initiatives
- Investigate opportunities, coordinate the timetabling and prepare submissions for grants and other fundraising prospects
- Assist with the development of and adherence to fundraising policies and processes
- Assist with the development and management of fundraising budgets
- Support the COO and admin team with the management of relationships with trusts, foundations, major donors and sponsors
- Undertake other tasks as required
CSR
- Managing all corporate financial donor relationships
- Ensuring all contacts are up to date and engaged appropriately.
- Delegating correspondence prior to and following events or sponsorships Attracting and engaging potential sponsors or donors.
- Budgeting CSR events and campaigns
- Following up with financial correspondence.
- Maintaining Schedules and Calendars
Public Voice
- Management of social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Etc.
- Regular appearances at networking events and engagement activities.
- Ensuring that entire team embodies voice and look of ThaiSOS
- Tracking of all media and event content in Thai and English
- Regular creation of digital content and graphics
Work Time:
40 hours a week, must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
Vacation 3 weeks (15 days) and 14 public holidays.
Sick leave with doctor’s proof after 3-day period, up to maximum 20 days.
Probation period of 90 days
Compensation:
25,000 to 35,000 THB – based on experience
