CO Accountant (based in Bangkok)

Position: CO Accountant
Assignment Type: Permanent
Location: Based in Bangkok
Job background: The CO Accountant will play an important role in managing Thailand Country Office’s books of accounts in an effective manner which will contribute to financial stability and meaningful analysis which will in turn support the alignment to the Country Strtegy and for Plan Thailand to achieve its mission.
Job purpose: Month end closing process of Balance sheet management, including clearing Prepaid items, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Staff Advance and Inter-Company accounts. • Month end closing process of P&L items including running depreciation, analysing various costing dimension such as fund codes, activity based cost codes, profit centres etc. and performing necessary adjustments • Manage timely sending and receiving of Inter-Company accounts within the month • Oversee monthly bank reconciliation processes and ensure timely submission to Asia Regional Office • Prepare monthly Subsidiary Ledger Report • Prepare Management Report to Country Management Team and Government •Lead on Cost Recovery plan • Financial control by reviewing payments, receipts and liquidation transactions • SAP Champion • Conduct finance orientation to new staff
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Citizen of Thailand • Bachelor Degree in Accounting • Experience at least five years in accounting and three years in a senior accounting position • Experience working with NGOs fund accounting • SAP experience is an advantage • Strong accounting skills • Advance Excel skill • Strong decision making and financial data analyst • Communicate clearly and effectively • Consistent and rational • Gains, develops and retains creditability about his/her performance • Good in English communication skill.
