Position: Project Coordinator – Safe School (Phase II)
Assignment duration: Fixed Term Contract
Duty station: Chiang Rai
JOB BACKGROUND: The Project Coordinator – Safe school will assisting and facilitating the Comprehensive Safe School Project which includes planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation with schools, communities relevant GOs and NGO networks to meet the project’s goals, objectives and expectations as outlined in the project proposal and in accordance with Plan policies and procedures.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in preparing detailed implementation plan (DIP) and overall project management of the assigned project. Prepare project operational plan, work plan and/or activity plan of the assigned projects according to the new Program Quality Policy (PQP). Collaborate and coordinate with schools, communities and key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project activities including service delivery. Facilitate and coordinate the training awareness raising and capacity building to concerned parties on child right, child protection and gender. Monitor the progress of project activities and maintain the project update in Plan’s SAP reporting system. Review the progress towards stated activities and outputs mentioned in the project work plan and implementation plan as well as financial status. Engage in advocacy with government sector and non-government sector at all levels.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: University degree on social science or social development or related field. Previous 3-5 year experience on implementing or managing disaster management or climate change. Good Thai and English language skills. High level of communications and ability to keep functioning effectively when under pressure and maintain self-control in the fact of hostility or provocation. Computer literacy. Proficiently in coaching, mentoring, training and facilitation. Experience working with multi-cultural environment is an advantage. Confident and professional and can build credibility with line management. Demonstrate concerns that one be perceived as responsible reliable and trustworthy.
