Project Executive – Social Research

Rapid Asia is an independent management consultancy firm based in Bangkok that specializes in evaluations for programs, projects, social marketing campaigns and other social development initiatives. We carry out program evaluations across a number of thematic areas including human trafficking, migration, health, climate change, education etc. Our clients include major donors, UN agencies and international aid and development organizations. We take a regional approach to evaluations and have developed tools and indicators that can be used across borders for the purpose of evaluating program impact. Rapid Asia has to date carried out evaluations in 28 countries across Asia, Middle-East, Africa, Eastern Europe and South America.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a suitable person to join our small team and add value to our company in the long term. The above position title of “Executive” is flexible (since we are a small company without the constraints of large corporate hierarchies), and the final official title will depend on the experience of the candidate. If a candidate with a lot more experience wishes to apply and is successful, then the title can be altered to reflect the desires of the new team member.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support on ongoing projects will play a large part of this role
• Learning to manage the entire process from questionnaire design, briefing suppliers, monitoring fieldwork, and checking of final data and preparing reports
• Daily interaction in English language through email, phone and face-to-face with clients based in Thailand and overseas.
• Monitoring project costs according to budget
• Ability to travel to manage/oversee projects if and when required (in Thailand and Overseas)

Requirements:

• Thai national
• Age 27-35
• University degree
• Experience with social development, market research or Monitoring & Evaluation on either client or agency side
• Excellent command of English language, verbal and written
• Knowledge of SPSS and conducting data analysis
• Interest and passion for social development work
• Understanding of the complete research process, from questionnaire development to final report
• Good team working ability, confident, pleasant personality with good customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and good ability to work with quantitative data.
• Flexible and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
• A passion for understanding and learning about new things.
• Experience with online surveys an advantage.
