Job Title: Program Officer
Office Location: Project office in Department of Environment, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration 2, Din Daeng, Bangkok
Salary Level: 30,000~40,000THB per month; social insurance fee is partially covered
Contract Period: From October 2018 and renewed on a yearly basis
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of Chief Advisor and Deputy Chief Advisor, Program Officer is expected to perform day-to-day functions and additional ad hoc tasks assigned to support the implementation of the Project with utilizing his/her expertise.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, translate, and analyze various type of information in accordance with the instruction provided by Chief/Deputy Chief Advisor
- Write simple summaries and/or reports in English about above mentioned information collection and analysis
- Attend and support discussion (by providing Thai-English translation) among Chief/Deputy Chief Advisor, project counterparts, and other stakeholders
- Keep records and write meeting minutes
- Coordinate among Chief/Deputy Chief Advisor, project counterpart, and relevant organizations
- Support Chief/Deputy Chief Advisor to conduct and prepare meetings, workshops, and seminars with other project staff
- Conduct any other necessary tasks assigned by Chief/Deputy Chief Advisor
Essential qualifications:
- Bachelor or higher degree (climate change, environment, energy management related degree is preferable)
- 3 years or more working experience
- Excellent communication skills in oral and written form both in Thai and English (Japanese knowledge is preferable)
- Intermediate MS Office software skill (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated, proactive, committed and flexible to work with colleagues and project partners from different backgrounds
- Multi-tasking skills for assigned tasks with priorities and time management skill
- Strong interests in climate resilient urban planning and various climate change mitigation measures at city-level
