ADRA Thailand is currently seeking applicants to work at our office in Mae Sot district, Tak province in the project of Enhanced Capacities for Migrant Advocacy (ECMA) as detail below
- 1. Accounting Associate
Responsibilities:
- Maintain petty cash funds
- Accurately recording all expenses into the petty cash register
- Maintain the daily petty cash count
- Payment of office expenses such as utilities, internet, telephone etc.
- Collect all project expense reports from the project/field office and send to Chiang Mai on time
- Review all receipts and ensure that all expenses and details on receipts are in line with ADRA Thailand Finance and Procurement policies
- Ensure that all support documents and receipts are attached to payment vouchers
- Assist the Project Manager to request funds from Chiang Mai as required
- Responsible on provide hospitality and logistic support for project visitors and consultants.
- Process payments for project activities and follow up to ensure all receipts are accurate;
- Ensure CSO partners submit monthly receipts on time (sub-grant, financial support and project activities);
- Provide support to CSO partners to ensure their financial procedure and documentation are in line with ADRA Thailand Procurement Policy;
- Provide financial training to CSO partner financial personnel on procurement policy and procedures;
- Make visits to CSO partners’ office to ensure financial records are in order;
- Maintain close communication with the Project Accountant in Chiang Mai Office to ensure timely fund transfer to CSO partners;
- Keep track of funds transferred to each CSO and maintain update to date account information for each CSO;
- Provide assistance to Project Manager in meetings with CSOs related to financial matters;
- Monitor and analyze monthly actual spending compared to approved budget
- Assist with office administrative task such as finding venue for meetings
- and making procurement for the project;
- Provide logistic support to all workshops and events that the project organizes;
- Responsible for preparing asset register and update it regularly
- Assist HR to apply and renew visa for foreigner staff
- Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related filed
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-year experience in finance positions similar to what described above
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English and Thai (written and oral)
- Fluent in spoken Burmese is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to accurately prepare, review and analyze financial and statistical reports
- Sound computer skills in at least word and excel
- Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Outgoing and confident personality
- Transparent, organized and responsible work style
