Responsibilities of the advertised positions:

BDF is seeking a new volunteer/intern to help prospect new donors and partners for Dao Social Enterprise. The position will work under direct supervision of the Director of Strategy & Partnerships in Chiang Mai. The main responsibilities of the Dao Partnership Officer will include the following: 

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to:

1.      Fundraise for the Dao Social Enterprise through:

a.       Submitting grant proposals for the Dao social program

b.      Develop & maintain on-going communication with Dao’s current clients/donors/CSR partners

c.       Sales at events, festivals and fairs that generate worthwhile revenue

d.      Prospect new orders for Dao products with new donors/CSR/clients

e.       Help achieve the annual Dao fundraising goal of 10% of BDF’s overall fundraising budget

2.       Monitor and track all potential and current donors for Dao Social Enterprise, including monthly progress reports of expenditures vs. revenues to the Executive Director and Director of Strategy & Partnerships

3.      Help improve Dao marketing and sales strategies through:

a.       Proofreading Dao content as needed in English (website, flyers, Instagram, and other communications materials)

b.       Collecting feedback from clients and analysing their needs to improve marketing strategies

c.        Advertising Dao in strategic networks, blogs or forums that are related to sustainability, social enterprises and businesses

d.      Converting data and monitoring from the field that can be shared with donors/partners/clients, including adapting key partner communications

4.      Provide support to the Executive Director, Dao Project Coordinator and BDF Partnerships Team to reach Dao's financial and marketing targets for 2019

Required skills:

Nationality: International (Thai preferred)

Qualifications: Fundraising or Corporate Sales experience, with a particular focus on Business/Marketing studies (or studies in a relevant field). Experience with social businesses, marketing, and communications is highly recommended.

Experience working with children (or for an organization that supports children) is considered an asset.

Strong social commitment, with a positive attitude and passion for locally-led start up projects. Ability to work and live in a multi-cultural environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong start up mentality, high motivation, as well as flexible and independent in their work ethic.

Language:  Fluent in English, working knowledge in Thai is a plus

Working hours:  Full time - Monday to Friday (9:00 - 6:00 pm)

Salary & Compensation: A monthly salary will be determined according to the successful candidate’s professional experience and qualifications.
