Introduction
USAID Green Invest Asia is a project of the U.S. Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that catalyzes private investment in agribusiness and forestry companies committed to sustainable agricultural, forestry and other land use (AFOLU) practices in Southeast Asia. It links investors with environmentally and socially responsible deals, while helping businesses scale and become investment-ready with environmental and business consulting services. Sustainable land use management promoted by the facility will contribute to reducing commodity-driven deforestation and land degradation, and assist corporates and investors achieve sustainability goals.
Background
USAID Green Invest offers a range of technical services – including carbon assessments – which include reporting requirements to both the client and donor. The project presents to audiences that have varied levels of AFOLU knowledge.
Objectives
USAID Green Invest Asia is looking to contract a technical editor on an on-call basis to provide quality editing for environmental technical reports, including carbon assessments, and to provide input for presentations on AFOLU themes to audiences with little background in AFOLU. The successful consultant will support the communication team in quality assurance of technical AFOLU communications, and ensure they are both accurate, as well as accessible and understandable even for audiences with little familiarity with AFOLU.
Duties and Responsibilities
The consultant will report to the Communications and Marketing Manager.
Detailed specifications for each individual assignment will be given to the selected editor as and when services are requested.

*Invoicing: Design services will be delivered on an on-call basis. Payment is made according to a timesheet (actual time spent on a design product) and deliverables to be submitted by the consultant for approval.
