Internship description
Our internship offers great work experience, and an opportunity to apply and expand skills in data analysis on urban environments and wellbeing. The data sets in question consist of qualitative and quantitative data that have been gathered from an extensive wellbeing survey, and participatory GIS (PGIS) activities, in Udon Thani. This data now needs to be cleaned, translated from Thai into English, and coded, using a pre-determined coding scheme.
We are seeking a highly motivated intern, fluent in written and spoken Thai and English, to assist the City Health and Wellbeing (CheW) team at SEI Asia in data cleaning, coding and analysis. The ideal candidate should have a proven capacity for data management and analysis, including of qualitative data, and be comfortable working in a scientific research organisation.
The intern will work closely with the CHeW team in the SEI Asia office in Bangkok for a period of 3 months. The intern will also have the opportunity to learn about the other research activities of SEI Asia and participate in developing Thai-language communications outputs for dissemination in the project location.
Candidates with previous experience of participating in quantitative or qualitative social science or environmental projects are encouraged to apply, as are those with experience in digitizing maps and/or using GIS software.
