USAID Green Invest Asia, a facility implemented by Pact and its partners, aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by mobilizing private finance to upscale and drive investment in the agriculture, forestry and other land use (AFOLU) sector toward low-emission yet profitable business models. To achieve this, the project is:

• Identifying a pipeline of investments in land use and land management;
• Encouraging investments by banks, financial institutions and funds into sustainable, low-emission land use management business; and
• Building a community of practice in sustainable landscape finance to tackle systemic issues that block the development and financing of low-emission land use management.

As part of the Activities, USAID Green Invest Asia has started managing its dashboard information including contacts, organizations, and projects, as well as updating information about events and publications using Salesforce. The information in the Salesforce needs regular updating and incorrect entries are supposed to be cleaned/corrected so that it generates accurate data on its dashboard for progress reporting, and effective client relationship management (CRM). Additionally, the intern will also have opportunities to take part in market research development in various topics and commodities, including but not limited to sustainability-linked loans, country-specific investment outlook, sustainable cocoa analysis, and sustainable biomass market analysis. The intern will have the following objective:

• Make Salesforce data ready for quarterly progress reporting in April 2019 by creating accurate ready-to-use client relationship data set (e.g. clean records, remove repetitions, add missing contacts)
• Contribute to research design, data collection and analysis on topics related to sustainable agriculture and forestry in Asia

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern, in close collaboration with team members, will perform the following tasks:

• Review all leads and remove the duplicated leads without losing information, and make a final list of the leads at the end of February and March
• Ensure that leads, individuals, organizations and projects match and do not duplicate
• Ensure that the project information is according to existing the Excel-based pipeline information; and all project status (Expression of Interest (EOI) form submitted, initial screening, identified, MoU signed etc.) are accurately recorded, also with the attachment of relevant supporting documents.
• Ensure that all USAID Green Invest Asia events are recorded and supporting documents are attached
• Support research design, data collection and analysis on topics related to sustainable agriculture and forestry in Asia
• Perform other tasks as advised by Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor

Period of work

The internship will be for three months starting March 2019. The M&E Advisor will review the internship progress every month with the intern and will recommend changes if required.

Accurate information in the Salesforce database, with evidences as appropriate

Information for market research and analysis as advised

Qualification and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, development studies or other relevant fields with interests on Salesforce (cloud-based) data management
• Proficient in English – reading, writing and speaking
