SOCIAL WORKER

COERR FOUNDATION is a Thai NGO established for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.

COERR is looking for an experienced personnel to fill the post of Social Worker for Bangkok field office.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

1. Assist the Social Services Supervisor in the implementation of the multi-purpose cash assistance to vulnerable urban refugees in Thailand.
2. 2. Identify vulnerable cases through conducting interviews, home visits/assessments and information gathering.
3. Prepare the Case Vulnerability Assessment Forms and submit to the Social Services Supervisor for review and comments.
4. Present cases to the Panel as required and keep and maintain case records and files with confidentiality at all times.
5. Conduct social counseling and social support to emergency and/or challenging cases.
6. Collaborate and coordinate with other units in understanding the dynamics of cases handled, their needs and problems, and implementing interventions or making referrals to the units concerned and to external agencies as required.
7. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Thai nationality
2. Bachelor degree in social work, arts or other related fields. Good English language skill is a must
3. At least 1 year work experience. Good networking skill is preferred
4. Open-mindedness, flexible and has the ability to cope with stressful situations and clients
5. Ability to work under pressure and strong teamwork
6. Good writing skill with experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred
7. Good computer skills (Word, Excel, MS office family and internet)

Internship and Volunteer for BRC

COERR FOUNDATION is a Thai NGO established for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.

COERR is looking for volunteer who want to gain practical experience in refugee work to join the Psychosocial Services Unit as Psychosocial Intern/Volunteer for Bangkok field office.

Post Title: Psychosocial Intern/Volunteer  

Report to: Senior Heath Services Supervisor

Contractual Status: Unpaid Internship/Volunteer Agreement

Availability of the Internship: As soon as possible

Work Assigned Tasks:  

1. Provide administrative support to Psychosocial Officers
2. Provide general information to urban refugees
3. Assist to conduct therapeutic and other activities
4. Assist to monitor the target groups both adults and children.
5. Work with interpreters. Help translate and communicate with Psychiatrists and medical staff at hospitals.

Qualification Requirements:

1. University degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health or related fields.
2. Language ability, fair in English, Thai and other languages
3. Keen Interest on Humanitarian works and Refugee’s situation.
4. Ability to work well in team.
5. Computer literate.
6. Thai national preferably.
