ADRA seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries. The agency’s work seeks to improve the quality of life of those in need. ADRA invests in the potential of these individuals through community development initiatives targeting Food Security, Economic Development, Primary Health and Basic Education. ADRA’s emergency management initiatives provide aid to disaster survivors.
ADRA Thailand is currently seeking a position of Advocacy/PR/Marketing Specialist as detail below;
- Advocacy/PR/Marketing Specialist – to be based inChiang Rai province
Responsibilities:
- Execute implementation of CSP advocacy plan which is developed in consultation with the relevant stakeholders
- Develop advocacy materials on statelessness
- Write and produce presentations and press releases
- Deal with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations
- Management of social media platforms relating to statelessness, i.e. Facebook, Instagram etc.
- Organize and attend advocacy events on statelessness including fund raising functions and visitor visits
- Represent CSP project at interviews, press conferences
- Prepare presentations for potential donors
- Provide stakeholders and potential supporters with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress
- Analyze media coverage
- Undertake relevant market research and statelessness research
- Support appropriate flow of information between the country office and the project field offices relating to statelessness
- Support donor communication in coordination with the Program Director and marketing team
- Cooperate and coordinate with other organizations in order to utilize possible synergy effects and to support networking and exchange of information
- Produce press releases, newsletters, feature articles, factsheets, brochures, briefing packets and other reports
- Responsible for program reporting requirements in relation to photo reports and impact stories
- Any other responsible assigned by either the supervisor or Senior Management Team
Preferred candidates are expected to fulfil the following:
- Thai national
- Bachelor degree or higher
- Proven skills in networking and coordination
- Passionate about fundraising
- Outgoing and confident personality
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Thai
- Strong understanding of the statelessness situation
- Sound computer skills in related program
- Willingness to constantly learn and grow
- Photography and strong journalist skills
- Strong commitment to advocating against statelessness
- Good inter-personal skill
