AUN/SEED-Net (ASEAN University Network / Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network) has been established to promote human resource development in engineering for sustainable socio-economic development of the ASEAN region. The network consists of 26 member institutions in ASEAN with assistance from 14 Japanese supporting universities. Full operation of AUN/SEED-Net Project started in 2003 with main support from the Japanese Government through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Project activities have been implemented by the Member Institutions and AUN/SEED-Net Secretariat with support from 14 leading Japanese Supporting Universities and JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net.

Job Title: Program Officer                                        

Office Location: Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok

Salary Level: 40,000～50,000THB per month; medical insurance and annual bonus provided

Contract Period: From April 2019, renewed on a yearly basis

Main duties and Responsibilities:

Program Officer is expected to perform day-to-day functions and additional ad hoc tasks assigned together with other project team members. The position holder will work closely with other Program Officers in executing project activities to produce the end results forwarding to the project objectives.  

Implementation of programs:

1. Planning and implementing scholarship programs and educational programs such as Collaborative Educational Program, Alumni Support Program, and Regional Conference Program.
2. Monitoring the academic progress of scholarship students studying at member universities.
3. Coordinating with member universities to implement the programs mentioned above.

Financial Management:

1. Preparing contracts with member universities
2. Arranging fund disbursement, monitoring the use of the fund by member universities, and verifying financial records of fund recipients in accordance with the project/JICA financial regulations.

Others:

1. Depending on your expertise and field of interest, Program Officer will have a chance to join and grow in various internal Task Force Teams.
2. Other duties relevant to the project when requested.

Qualifications

Essential: Candidates with the following qualifications and personalities are required:

1. Thai nationality
2. Minimum 3 years work experience
3. Bachelor’s degree in any academic field
4. Excellent level of English language skills (oral and writing)
5. Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point
6. Proactive, committed, and flexible attitude to work with colleagues and project partners from different social and cultural backgrounds
7. Management skills of assigned tasks with priorities
8. Able to work extra hours and sometimes at weekends
9. Able to travel within ASEAN countries
