Our teams in Thailand takes part in the global and regional advocacy movements to reduce social inequality, promote sustainability of the food systems and gender equality. The Food Justice Team now operates influencing projects on sustainable food production and consumption, and sustainable fisheries. Key components include consumer campaigning, private sector engagement and CSO coalition building. This role, the Programme Officer, Sustainable Fisheries will play a key role in the Food Justice team and have a key contribution to the success of the projects on sustainable fisheries.

key Responsibilities
Technical
- Project management
- Lead the project planning process and periodic reviews with the partner and coalition and monitor the progress of the activities and outputs. Proactively manage the risks and find means to improve implementation at all time.
- Maintain the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning system of the project in compliance with the EU and other donors’ requirements and internal programme quality standards. Put focus on learning and sharing with other teams in and outside Thailand.
- Keep good relationship with the donor and implement donor reporting.
- Advocacy with partner and coalition
- Support research design for advocacy and implementation
- Take part in the coalition engagement with the private sector (and public sector) and focus on knowledge management (i.e. reflection and learning process and documentation for sharing across countries).
- Integrate gender perspectives in supply chain analysis and proposals for private sector improvements.
Leadership
- Be assertive in project quality, gender justice integration, and quality partnership.
Other
- Required to adhere to Oxfam’s principles and values as well as the promotion of gender justice and women's rights
- Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety and staff health and wellbeing principles
skills, experience and knowledge
Essential
- Institutional donor project management experience of no less than 2 years in a medium size project. Strong at budget monitoring and outputs tracking. Trained in or strong at knowledge of programme/project quality standards, monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong judgement and analytical skills to support critical advocacy work with the private sector and empowerment of CSOs for food justice. Keen on gender equality.
- Agile, enabling and comfortable with complexities and uncertainty.
- Strong English and Thai oral presentation and written communications
- High in team spirit, self-motivated and responsibility.
