Business Analyst III

Job Summary

This career analyst evaluates current or proposed operations and develops, tracks, documents, recommends, and/or analyzes processes, operations, or systems, assessing the organizational model or its integration with technology. This analyst leverages experience and training to discover and/or develop data, monitor analytics, contribute to successful communications and quality trends, and educate leadership in areas of opportunity for improvement. Coordinating among various stakeholders, the analyst will lead or serve on project teams to pilot innovation efforts, provide systematic reviews, and promotes sustainability of ministry initiatives. He or she may coach and oversee the work of other analysts.

Additionally, this role leverages experience and training to discover and/or develop data, monitor analytics, contribute to quality trends, and educate leadership in areas of opportunity for improvement. The role oversees the monitoring and evaluation efforts at the national level and coordinates how the aggregated data is used.

 

Essential Job Functions

This position evaluates Compassion organization, processes, or initiatives by organizing business needs, reviewing, considering, and/or defining the ministry's policies and approaches, standardizing work flows, policies, and procedures, interpreting business rules and requirements, and improving the quality of the services being delivered. Studies organization issues, translates and simplifies requirements, communicates findings and proposes initiates, and produces formal documentation. Further, he/she collects, sorts, and studies ministry-related information, ultimately interpreting the statistical data, applying it to different business functions, looking for ways of identifying efficiencies, problem areas, and improvements. Identifies and analyzes complex ministry process problems, defining the scope of activities required to address the issues and streamlining where appropriate to increase productivity and efficiency.

The incumbent provides for progress reporting, troubleshooting and staff direction, to ensure that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time. This person may coach and provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the business analysis discipline.

Secondary Job Functions

The role will lead or serve on project teams to pilot innovation efforts, provide systematic reviews, and promote sustainability of ministry initiatives; Continuously monitor Compassion’s work across the region and regularly report findings and coordinate monitoring and evaluation efforts within the national offices and ensure minimum expectations are exceeded.

 

Prerequisites:

  • Mature Christian person, based on evangelical Christian values, has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in integrity and honesty.
  • Recognized as an expert in the community and requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
  • Should have knowledge of best practices and the factors that differentiate the brand in the market
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience working in business analysis, business intelligence, data analysis, project management or a similar field.
  • Work Environment Office: Standard Office Environment.
  • Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 20% of normal schedule.
