Position: Rehabilitation Project officer (2 open position: only for Thai citizen)

Handicap International that runs its program under the operating name Humanity & Inclusion (HI) seeks for 2 Rehabilitation Project Officer for Thailand site. Based office is in Mae Sot with regular travel to work in camps.

Background
HI is an independent and impartial aid and development organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. HI implements 4 projects in Thailand alongside Thai-Burma border:
a) Risk Education in 9 camps,
b) Disability and Social Inclusion in 5 camps,
c) Rehabilitation project in 5 camps and
d) Growing Together project in 7 camps as well.
All projects implemented alongside Thailand-Burmese border are enrooted into the Myanmar & Thailand Regional Program Strategy for the period 2018-2020.
The strategy aims at working alongside refugees’ people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.
All projects are managed by designated manager coached by the Operational Manager, Country Manager, Thailand. Thailand mission is supported by the Regional team in Yangon for all issues related to logistic, administration, finance and accountancy as well as Technical issues.
JOB DESCRIPTION: REHABILITATION PROJECT OFFICER
Under direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Project Manager (PM) , the Project Officer ensures the following tasks;
Responsibility 1: Plan, monitor and supervise the rehabilitation camp-based staff implementing rehabilitation activities.
Aim: Ensure the activities are implemented on time and well monitored (in close coordination with the Rehabilitation Technical officers).
Activities:
Responsibility 2: Support the Rehabilitation Technical officers (RTOs) to empower, build capacity, coach HI camp-based staff, community staff and health worker for other agencies for Rehabilitation activities.
Aim: Build capacity of community rehabilitation staff to be able to ensure the quality of community rehabilitation services.

Responsibility 3: Ensure communication, networking and coordination at field level for Rehabilitation activities
Aim: Under the supervision of his/her line manager, ensure implementation of good practices and good communication

Qualifications required: Thai citizen,
Education: University Degree in general management/administrative or social development / health science or a related area
Experiences: At least 2 years working experience in project implementation, people management and coordinating with stake holders. Experience of working effectively with camp based organizations (CBOs) & Non-governmental Organization (NGO), along the Thai-Myanmar border
Technical Skills & Cross Cutting Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results
Good leadership skills with capacity to share knowledge with others, Good team player.
Comprehensive knowledge on rehabilitation/disability/ inclusion would be an advantage.
Proficiency in computer & basic program using and emails
Language skills: Very good in Thai, Karen or Burmese is a must. Good in English is advantage.
Behavioral Skills: Active listening, Sense of negotiation, Ability to create team spirit and to support team building, Self-initiative, Intellectual flexibility, Adaptation skills, Autonomy in work, Experience in accompanying a team and finding practical solutions
Job Conditions
Remuneration: Starting from 24,645Baht depending on the experience of the candidate. Attractive package with possibility of transportation, accommodation allowance.
